Shaw Racing has recently purchased a Street Stock for competition at Wall Township Speedway, as well as other tracks, in 2007. We are currently in the process of not only fixing the car up for competition, but are also looking for any companies that wish to sponsor our team in 2007 and beyond. Shaw Racing is pleased with the way they have been running recently and that continued during Thanksgiving Weekend at the annual Turkey Derby.
Coming off of consecutive top 10 finishes in the last two races the team was ready. A bad draw for position left them trying to qualify for the race through a consolation race. Nick started his #13x Monte Carlo on the front row and immediately jumped out front. He led all 8 laps and raced his way into the feature event.
Shaw Racing started the first of two features in the 25th position. Some crafty driving and lucky breaks landed the team their third consecutive top 10 finish of the year.
The second of 2 features went a little differently. Shaw Racing's #13x started from the pole position. On lap 10, running in 3rd place, Nick was spun out coming off of turn 2, A complete 360 and a loss of 10 positions left them in 13th position. In the end, Nick brought the #13x home in the 9th position. Not only the best finish of the season, but also the 4th consecutive top 10 finish for the team.
